HISTORY
Joann Delhomme started teaching swimming lessons at her home in Myrtle Place in 1963. Then, the Delhomme Family moved to Maryview Farm Road in 1972 and continued teaching swimming lessons. Joann then opened the Get Wet Shop in 1978. She started the Get Wet Shop in her backyard and moved it to Jefferson Street in downtown Lafayette. Then, she opened the Current location on Ambassador Caffery. Now, the Swim School has moved to Veterinarian Road at the home of Debbie Delhomme-Greene. Debbie has designed a special fish-shaped pool to teach the children. The Delhomme Family has over 50 years of teaching experience. We enjoy teaching children how to swim. So let us teach you or your children how to swim.

Our love, patience, and passion for teaching children how to swim make us different. It all started with Joann Delhomme and the lesson plans she spent developing. She has so much time dedicated to many that you become different levels advanced swimmer. She also has a program that combines teaching, learning, and having fun. Joann's favorite saying was, "Swimming is Fun!!"
